CREATIVE PRACTICE FOR COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Creative Community Impact Association (CCIA) is a federally incorporated, socially engaged arts nonprofit building inclusive, values-driven adult communities through creativity, collaboration, and research-informed practice.
We create safe, welcoming spaces where adults explore ideas, connect deeply, and turn imagination into meaningful action. Through our programming, participants experience collective care and gentle advocacy, strengthening belonging, inspiring reflection, and contributing to lasting social, cultural, and ecological change.

What We Do
We use creativity as a tool for learning, connection, and positive change.
Our work is guided by inclusion, accessibility, and belonging, combining creative practice with gentle advocacy and arts-based research. Through our programs, participants:
-
Inclusive Programming: Multidisciplinary arts experiences designed to ensure every participant, regardless of background, experiences deep connection and belonging.
-
Strategic Advocacy: Using gentle advocacy and dialogue to influence social and ecological resilience.
-
2SLGBTQIA+ Initiatives: Specialized programs and safe spaces designed by and for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, rooted in queer pedagogy that prioritize safety, joy, and creative autonomy.

Our Community
CCIA serves as a strategic hub for those who believe creativity is a fundamental tool for social and ecological resilience.
Based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) and expanding across Canada, our community is a diverse ecosystem of:
-
Socially Engaged Creatives: Artists and practitioners bridging the gap between creative practice and meaningful, evidence-based advocacy.
-
Sector Leaders & Educators: Professionals seeking research-informed, pedagogical frameworks to advance inclusion and accessibility.
-
2SLGBTQIA+ Community: Individuals engaged in our dedicated Queer-specific initiatives, rooted in safety, joy, and collective care.
-
Civic-Minded Adults: People from all walks of life searching for a space of deep belonging, dialogue, and mutual support.
Whether you are an artist deepening your impact or an individual seeking connection, you are part of a national movement toward accountable, values-driven change.
